As communicated previously with outbreaks of the COVID-19 virus continuing in China and Malaysia, it is continuing to force shut downs of major glove manufactures and prices remain volatile along with lead times.
With the reduced capacity and increased demand for Nitrile Gloves there may be continued shipping delays in the coming months. Our procurement team are monitoring this closely.
The pricing and lead times of Latex and Vinyl gloves appear to be stabilising. If there is an option to utilise the Latex glove in lieu of the Nitrile this may be a cost advantage for you. Please seek advise from your Quality and Clinical teams on this.
Please be assured we will review and adjust these prices when the market begins to normalise, and prices come down, however we expect the volatility to continue for at least the first half of 2021 with all glove manufacturers.
